‘Lost for a Day’ is a one-day and one-night immersion in the ancient, unsettling, and ultimately liberating experience of being lost. Set in the wild reaches, this retreat offers a rare opportunity to step out of the patterns of certainty and control that shape so much of modern life, and to discover the unexpected gift that waits when we allow ourselves to not know.
Over the course of 24 hours, participants are guided through a series of powerful nature-based practices designed to shift the relationship with lostness from fear or frustration into curiosity, spaciousness, and insight. Through blindfold work, solo wandering, natural navigation, night walking, fire-based sharing, and time in solitude, you will explore what it means to relinquish your usual ways of orienting in the world and to encounter deeper, older ways of knowing.
This retreat invites you to:
Throughout the journey, you are held by experienced facilitators who accompany each stage with guidance, safety, and gentle challenge.
‘Lost for a Day’ stands alone as a profound encounter with your own edges — and also forms the first part of a trilogy exploring lostness, finding, and being found. For many, this initial step becomes the beginning of a deeper inner pilgrimage.
If you feel called to loosen your grip on certainty, to rediscover your relationship with the land, or to meet yourself in a newer and wilder way, then this experience is for you.
Come prepared to let go.
Come prepared to wander.
Come prepared to meet the gift that only lostness can offer.
Lost for a Day is for people who sense that something meaningful lies beyond certainty, control, and having all the answers.
It is for those who feel drawn to explore their relationship with not knowing — whether in the landscape, in life, or within themselves — and who are willing to meet uncertainty with curiosity, courage, and care.
This experience may be especially suited to those who:
Lost for a Day is not about fixing yourself or finding quick answers. It is for those willing to pause, wander, and allow something deeper to reveal itself.
You do not need prior experience of retreats or nature-based practice — only a willingness to step into the unknown and be changed by it.
