Elder Initiation

Three days / three nights.  Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon

Once the elder is in action, we move toward a full initiation into the archetype and responsibility of the elder. This retreat marks the sacred passage from living as an elder to being initiated as one.

Over three days, participants are invited to look deeply at the life they have lived, the choices made, the consequences faced, the lessons learned. Together we examine what must be released, forgiven, and integrated in order to stand authentically in the role of elder in a culture that has forgotten how to honour or be eldered.

Through guided reflection, storytelling, and ceremony, you will:

• Review the landscape of your life and recognise its defining moments and teachings.
• Identify what still calls for healing, acceptance, or forgiveness.
• Build inner resilience and readiness to meet the demands of eldership with grace.
• Participate in a powerful rite of passage, receiving blessing and acknowledgment as you step fully into your elderhood.

The retreat concludes with a sacred initiation ceremony a communal recognition of your readiness to live as an elder of integrity, service, and blessing.

This retreat is for those who have already begun to walk the path of eldership and now seek to anchor that calling through conscious initiation.

It is especially suited to those who:

• Have journeyed through the Elder Invocation and Elder in Action retreats and are ready for the next threshold.
• Sense that they have something essential to offer their community or the world.
• Wish to make peace with their past, integrating life’s gifts and griefs into wisdom.
• Are ready to be seen, honoured, and celebrated for who they have become.
• Desire to take up their place as a true elder — one who embodies service, compassion, and clear seeing.

You do not claim the title of elder here, you are initiated into it, witnessed by others and by life itself.
