Two Days / Two Nights in Nature.  Friday Evening to Sunday afternoon

Every boy carries the spark of the man he will one day become.

This retreat is an invitation for fathers and sons to step into the wild together, to explore, play, build, and begin the journey from boyhood toward manhood.

Boy to Man - The  Early Journey offers time away from screens and schedules, and back into the rhythm of campfires, stories, and simple living.

Together, fathers and sons will:

• Build fires and shelters
• Explore the woods, forage and learn about nature
• Share stories and laughter around the fire
• Take part in gentle rituals that honour growing up
• Strengthen trust, courage, and connection

This age marks the time when many boys look to their fathers more, loosen their ties to their mother and need their father to show them the wider world and how to be a man.  So this is about supporting them both to begin and develop that journey together, it’s about discovery, belonging, and spending meaningful time together.

For the boys, it’s a chance to feel seen and celebrated as they grow. To celebrate early childhood with detail and delight, and acknowledge that time is over

For the fathers, it’s a chance to slow down, listen, and enjoy the adventure of fatherhood.

You’ll return home with muddy boots, full hearts, and memories that last a lifetime.

This retreat is for boys aged 7 to 14 and their fathers or father figures who want to deepen their connection, share adventure, and mark an important stage in a boy’s growing-up journey.

It’s for fathers who want to give their sons something meaningful - time together in the wild, away from screens and routines, where nature and story take the lead. 

It’s for sons who are curious, energetic, and ready to begin discovering the young man within.

You don’t need any outdoor experience, just a willingness to step into the woods, light a fire, and take part in simple rituals that strengthen trust, courage, and respect.
